School Groups For Primary School Children.
The
aim of these groups is to provide support, socialisation skills,
developmental activities, creative and experiential activities in
order to improve self-esteem, self-confidence and social skills
and to help with the transition from primary to secondary school.
Objectives
- To
provide a form of intervention which is flexible and needs based

provide opportunities for personal and social development
- To
facilitate the development of new skills and to develop the capacity
of young people to think critically and independently
- To
raise awareness of issues affecting young people
- To
promote co-operation and peer support among young people
